As Executive Director for the SCIC, Mr. Meenan provides association management services to the SCIC and serves as its General Counsel.

Mr. Meenan has over 20 years experience in the insurance regulatory and administrative law areas and also currently serves as Executive Director and General Counsel for two other insurance-industry related trade associations. He also acts as General Counsel to the Florida Insurance Guaranty Fund.

Through the regulatory insurance practice area of Blank & Meenan, P.A., Mr. Meenan assists manufacturers, insurers, providers, administrators and retailers in developing and implementing national compliance initiatives for warranty, service contract and retail insurance programs.

Mr. Meenan is also a former Deputy Insurance Commissioner with the Florida Department of Insurance and was responsible for the state's Treasury and Risk Management Divisions.

Stephen McDaniel received his Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Finance at Florida State University, graduating Cum Laude in 1999. Mr. McDaniel passed the Uniform Certified Public Accountant exam in Georgia where he received the Gold Key Award for scoring the highest score of the 1,462 candidates. He graduated from the Florida State University College of Law, Summa Cum Laude, in 2004. He was ranked third in his graduating class, and received the distinction of being selected as a member of the Florida State Chapter of the Order of the Coif.

Prior to law school, Mr. McDaniel worked as a Senior Accountant in KPMG’s Assurance Department, where he supervised audit engagement teams in the consumer markets, software development, telecommunications, real estate, and banking and financial institutions industries.

While enrolled at Florida State University College of Law, Mr. McDaniel was an active member of the Tallahassee Chapter of the American Inns of Court and served as the Administrative Editor of the School’s Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law. His article "Essential Fish Habitat: Building a Barrier to Affordable Housing?" was published in the Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law. He received Book Awards for achieving the highest grade in State Constitutional Law, Taxation I, Administrative Law, Business Associations and Florida Criminal Practice.

From August 2004 to August 2006, Mr. McDaniel served as a Senior Staff Attorney to Justice R. Fred Lewis of the Florida Supreme Court.

Mr. McDaniel’s practice areas include insurance and service contract regulatory, administrative, and corporate law.

R. Steven Brooks is President/Chief Executive Officer/Chairman of the Board of the Phoenix American Companies which include Phoenix American Warranty Company, Inc. and Wynn's Extended Care, Inc., in Miami, Florida.

Mr. Brooks has over 20 years of senior executive experience in the insurance and automotive service contract industry and is active in the legislative and regulatory compliance areas. Mr. Brooks was also trained as a property and casualty insurance actuary and is a former Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society.

He also serves as President of the Florida Service Agreement Association and President of the Guaranteed Asset Protection Alliance.

Mark Lightfoot is Senior Vice President and Secretary of American Home Shield Corporation. Mr. Lightfoot has over 20 years of senior executive and legal counsel experience in the home service contract industry and is active in the legal services, legislative and regulatory compliance areas.

Mr. Lightfoot also serves as President of National Home Service Contract Association and President of the Home Warranty Association of California.

Simrun Gialleonardo is Senior Counsel for National Electronics Warranty Corporation (N.E.W).

Prior to joining N.E.W, Ms. Gialleonardo served as Compliance Manager and Assistant General Counsel for the American International Group.

Ms. Gialleonardo has over 12 years experience in the insurance and consumer goods service contract industry and is active in the legal services and regulatory compliance areas.
